I had a problem with my laptop, and Mike was extremely helpful. He was sincere in his efforts, and he conveyed a sense of concern for my situation. It turned out that I needed a new hard drive, amd Mike was knowledgeable in how to complete the task efficiently.

Everything worked out, and I was back in business within half a day. I appreciate the work that Mike and Vince provide. I highly recommend to anyone who has computer repair issues.

I have my own, small business out of my home so I don't have the luxury of a 24x7 IT staff in an office to help me out. But BAHCS is the absolute closest you can get to it.

My computer turned on the 'screen of death' during my last week of a client engagement so I called Julie first thing one morning. She had Vince Wentworth dispatched within the hour - she even emailed me (thank goodness for a backup laptop) his photo so that I knew who to expect showing up at my door - totally reassuring.

Vince retrieved my machine and took it to his shop and kept in constant communication throughout the day to let me know what he was uncovering. He coached me through any purchases he'd have to make and assured me that if we got in too deep cost-wise, he'd absolutely let me know. What we thought was a simple video card burn-out turned into an entire motherboard cook-out and he discussed with me all the possible options for moving forward.

Vince was totally straightforward when it came down to suggesting that we might just end up close to the cost of a new computer when new parts and service fees were added up.

He returned to my house the next day with a setup to backup my hard drive, offered a backup machine while I was trying to complete some client work and discussed at length the best options for purchasing a new machine, where to go, what to look for, etc.

I just can't say enough about BAHCS and Mr. Wentworth. I feel like I have my own, personal IT team to call on if I have problems. They're a security blanket I've been looking for for years!!!

When my dear laptop got eaten before my very eyes, I dialed BAHCS and Julie put me at ease immediately. She had Vince W phone me w/n one half hour. Vince was a good listener -- there's a rarity. And he's calm. He explained what was wrong and what needed to be done. He gave me a ballpark estimate of the time he'd need to repair it. He arrived to pick it up within the time frame he promised.

I know he was very busy but he worked me in and delivered the laptop back within a reasonable time -- few days. He'd cleaned it, returned as much software as he could w/o talking to me and did the rest remotely after delivery. PLUS Vince bought me a new HD out of his own pocket trusting that I'd reimburse him.

Long ago I gave up hoping to find a Computer Tech who either had a personality or kept up appearances, if you older folks know what I mean.  I would have settled for either one of those attributes.

Look no further! Vince is clean cut, serious, knowledgeable, friendly, FAST, communicative -- everything you ever wanted in a computer tech who comes into your home!

As soon as that crisis resolved, my desktop HD went blank and black. Vince was on his job a second time -- as spiffy, prompt and supportive as he was the first time. Bought me another new HD out of his own pocket til we met again.

All I can say is that I am deeply grateful to have found BAHCS and Vince W. All you women who worry about having a strange man in your home -- this man is not strange. In fact, he has a wonderful presence and you have no worries.

Yelp is probably gonna delete half this volume but you get my drift -- these people are a gift from the Techie Gods -- they do big office jobs as well. USE THEM! :-)

Vince was prompt and efficient in replacing my power supply. He spent enough time on the phone up front to narrow down the issue and allow me to pick up the right part so he wouldn't have to make a second trip.  The job was done in his estimated time budget on a Saturday morning within 24 hours of our call and he didn't try to sell me additional services.

We had anticipated that our laptop was about to die and had purchased a new one, had tried transferring the large amount of data, found it daunting, and sort of gave up. Then it became an emergency and we needed help FAST. I looked around and found BAHCS on YELP (thank you YELP!). I called and talked to Julie. Vince was here within 2 hours!!! He stayed for several hours, came back the next day and has been here once again. And when we move in a few months, he'll be there to help us set up everything in the new location.

Our files have been moved safely, we have new security installed. He helped me find and buy the best software applications and hardware. He is extremely patient in walking us through all of the new programs that come with a new computer (change is difficult!) and has made this transition smooth. He's a really nice guy, it's great to have him in our home, it's like having a good friend come to visit.

In the past, each time I had computer problems, friends tried to help, or sent over their grandkids. And they never were really helpful. Believe me, I never have to worry about who to call ever again.

There are a lot of people out there who say they will take care of your computer problems. I'm not so sure, but trust me, you can count on BAHCS. Thank you Vince.

We had to revamp everything in my office. Mike bought everything for me, all user friendly, and all great. We had glitches with programs and connections and he fixed them all with patience and good humor.

He looks at a problem, thinks about it like a good doctor, figuring out what is wrong, and he does it quickly. He never says he's tired, won't eat till he's done, and just a terrific person and great at what he does.

Don't even think about it - just call him!

Not only did Mike completely fix my computer, but I would also like to comment on what genuinely kind people both him and Julie both are!

I was having difficulty finding a reasonable place to get my computer fixed. I have a Macbook and the screen had cracked so much so that I could barely see anything through what looked like blue ink leaks. I called around to at least 6 different places getting quotes on how much it would cost to fix my screen. The apple store said something around $800 while the wefixmacs guys said it would cost around $400. When I called Business & Home Computer Services, they told me that it shouldn't take long to fix a screen and that it would only cost me about $80 (I had already purchased the screen online).

It ended up taking them an hour or two longer than they thought to fix my computer, but Mike and Julie were so kind as to stick to their quoted price. I ended up paying them as much as I could afford, though :).

Mike was able to fix my screen without ruining anything else on the computer (not an easy task to do on a Mac!). It works wonderfully and I love being able to watch all of my TV shows now on a beautiful, clear screen! AMAZING service and I will definitely go back whenever (or IF ever) I need anything else fixed.

Brad at BAHCS was the right person to help us troubleshoot and repair one of our computers that had a networking problem.  With a fantastic response time he was at our place of business beginning to repair our problem.  As a "bonus" he managed to solve our wireless printer problem that had been plaguing us for weeks.  Brad went another step further to contact us the next day to make sure our computers were still running correctly.   Prices were very reasonale but the most important fact is we've found the right "IT" person that will be supporting our business.

My home computer crashed and my last back up was in June of last year.  The normal panic of "oh no, now what" hit and I envisioned spending all sorts of time finding some one to recover my data before loading it onto my new laptop, driving all over to drop off my computer / pick it up and the fear of the cost involved.  I searched Yelp and found BAHCS (Bay Area Home Computer Services).  Shortly after leaving a message Vince Wentworth returned my call and said he could PICK MY COMPUTER UP that same day to recover the data!  I was in heaven.  Vince agreed to a "not to exceed" price for the service and within 24 hours, I was back up and running.  When Vince dropped my computer off, he took the time to walk me through what he had done and gave me a number of helpful tips.  He also provided me with a great notebook for keeping my recovery disks, etc.  I would highly recommend their services!

The sad saga of my fried hard drive and the five weeks of hell I went through with Geek Squad in San Carlos is for another day.
Partly because I had a new, clean hard drive, I was not able to connect to my wireless network after re-installing the operating system.  Faced with the unknown of Craigslist (and I love Craigslist), I called Mike at BAHCS.  He sent his technician Vince out to investigate and fix the problem.
All I can say is Vince was wonderful.  It took longer than expected to discover and rectify the problem (which was not his fault) but he came through and went out of his way to install new anti-virus protection, updated drivers and Service Pack 3.  
In the end, all is well and we are back on line and now have a reliable source for all our IT needs.  Speedy response, expert knowledge and perseverance at a reasonable cost.
Please consider BAHCS for any of your computer and network needs.

It has been almost a month since I got my new Del from Mike and it works like a charm;! faster speed, preinstalled software, music programs, and so forth; what more could a guy ask for?! Mike has been out here on an urgent basis to fix the wiring which A Better Source's delivery men left in shambles (see my review.) Of course, he was very thorough in running me through the features and operating procedures as he always is. I now have a back up system built into my computer and a USB stick for saving files. He is always avalable via E-mail.  My mother bought a laptop from him which is loaded; he spent a lot of time installing it and showing her how to get maximal use out of it and take care of it. He is what he calls "the computer doctor," responding to peoples' needs promptly. His wife, Julie, is a doll, a jolly Brit to be exact who is always available to schedule appointments and take care of financial issues. FYI, he charges $85.00 an hour, but you can pay $75.00 an hour for prepayed hours which eliminates the constant making out of checks which is a wonderful hustle free elimmen to the experience. Keep up the good work Mike, Julie, and crew!

I am delighted to finally have someone I can trust with any computer related questions/issues.  Mike was fantastic.  He was available right away (as opposed to what I have faced with other providers I didn't have to wait 5 hours at home two weeks from the date when I called in) and knew exactly what to do to fix the problem.  We went over the allocated time but he never made me feel like he was running out of time.  He not only has the technical expertise but he explains what he's doing and why and is always pleasant and friendly.  Any time I need any additional computer service I will definitely call Mike!

Mike and his company have performed admirably.  Mike got our computer working again after it crashed, brought it over to our house, and made several suggestions for our wireless network.  We were so impressed that we had him take a laptop in for repair.  That is the same laptop we took to the Geek Squad at Best Buy.  The Geek Squad reported among other things that it was not possible to get a single key replaced, and never replied to correspondence.  Mike has ordered the new key and found a problem with the battery.  So far, we are very pleased, and intend to have Mike work on other computers and our wireless network to make them even more efficient.

I run a small business, and, for years, we've been creating work-arounds and patches to make our computers do what we wanted them to.  If not for the wasted time and inevitable human-error, this would be fine.

Well, we finally had a problem that work-arounds couldn't solve - so I called on BAHCS.  Turns out, BAHCS was able to set our systems up in a far more efficient manner - no more wasted time or lost data!  And it didn't cost a fortune!

One morning my computer decided it didn't want to do what I wanted it to do. This is always a catastrophe to me, being that I am a complete technophobe. It just so happened, while talking to a good friend of mine she told me about BAHCS. I gave them a call and they sent out there technition (or as I call him the computer Guru)the same day. They gentlemans name was Will and he really knows his way around computer. Will was prompt, polite and patient. He solved the problem quickly and checked out the computer to make sure it was running at it's maximum performance. I've had Will back several times since. He's always on time and has always solved the problem and taught me alot about the way things work and short cuts that will save me time. I'm glad my friend told me about BAHCS and I've told many of my friends about them.

Finally, a reliable company and technician at that. Mike Menor, who our realter uses all of the time, referred us to him. Like she said, I was having with constantly having internet use on and off, most of the time without it. he is top notch, thoroughly inspecting your system, and troubleshooting, explaining and fixing problems. He does so in plain English. He inspected our modum, checked the status of current programs and software in my computer, and upgraded my Internet brouser, as well as made it so that my computer would reboot properly without any complications. Mike, thanks for my internet back.! He is coming back to install anti virus software and a system that automatically backs up documents without a disc or memory stick. He is also coming back to fix my printer and my parents' laptop which he will essentially cleanup and make faster. There is no other it tech better than Mike and his coworkers. He only charged for an hour even though he was here for an hour-in-a-half which I thought was humble and cool. So, for excellent it and computer troubleshooting and repair, as well as hosting, training, and other it and computer services, Business & Home Computer Services cannot be beat. Keep up the good work Mike and crew.!

I have had the great pleasure of hiring Will at Busn & Home Computer Services to handle an extremely urgent need. Within 24 hours, Will completely rebuilt our laptop which was totally destroyed by a virus. Will came by at work and picked up the laptop, fixed it, and then dropped it off! No one provides this type of service anymore.

Will reinstalled/recovered all of the needed software, added free viral protection, and reset all of the POP configurations etc. The computer works better than before and their cost was $100 less than other quotes.

In our world, there is no other computer technician than Business & Home Computer Services. Thank you so much Will.
